MINISTRIES

How Can I Get Involved?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. There are always places to serve at Southside; from helping wash dishes after our Sunday meals, to teaching, or disaster relief. Contact Brother Joe for more information on how you can get involved.

Sunday School

Every week at 9:45, Southside has classes for all ages. Sunday School is an opportunity to make connections with fellow believers, strengthen your relationship with Jesus, and discover opportunities to minister to others.

Worship (Big Church)

Sunday morning at 8:30am and again at 10:50am, Brother Joe brings an evangelical message sure to refuel your soul. Sunday evening at 6:00pm, Brother Joe gives practical implications about how you can live out scripture. During 10:50am worship, we have children’s church for those 3-6 years old.

Wednesday Night

Bring the whole family every Wednesday at 6:30pm for Bible study. Adults are led by Brother Joe as they walk through the Bible, verse by verse. Youth and children programs are designed to meet the unique needs of every age while providing a great time in God’s House.

Choir

Under the leadership of Vernon Vincent, our choir meets every Sunday at 5:00pm to learn new music and praise the Lord through song. People of all ages and talents are welcome to join. Every Sunday morning, the choir helps lead worship in our 11am service.

Men’s & Women’s Ministry

Men of all ages meet the second Saturday of every month at 8:00am to eat breakfast and have a brief devotion.

Women meet the second Tuesday of every month at 1:00pm for Women’s Mission. They have a lesson and participate in a local mission project.

Bus Ministry

At Southside, we are committed to breaking down barriers. For some, lack of transportation keeps them from attending church. For that reason, we provide transportation to Sunday School, Sunday Morning Worship, and our Wednesday night programs.

Senior Adults

Every third Friday from 6:00-9:00pm, the senior adults meet to enjoy fellowship,
food, and fun.

Once a year, our senior adults enjoy time with each other as we travel to different locations, such as Branson. Check our events page for upcoming events.

Youth

7th-12th graders meet every Sunday for Sunday School and each Wednesday night. Our youth workers focus on building community, teaching Biblical truths and practical life skills, while fostering positive relationships between students. Check our event page for upcoming special events.

Disaster Relief

Men and women from
Southside, in partnership with
our association, provide assistance to families and individuals after natural disasters. We actively portray the love of Jesus as we assist them in putting their homes and lives back together.
